I've translated to English one of my pages without help of software. But I'm afraid there are a lot of mistakes there. I ask you to go to address http://i16fighter.narod.ru/ww2/ww2beg_e.htm and to check it. Any help will be very appreciated.

I would be willing to help but my mother language is not English and my English speaking is not better than yours... (I see no huge obvious fault in your text) I let our US/UK/Can/Aus/NZ/etc. friends answer.:)

I am in the same situation like Tophe, but my command of English language is lauded enough to allow myself a comment. You have no reason to hide yourself, your style is excellent, Vassili.

But I would like to ask you something different:

1) Write German aircraft designations without a dot (e.g. He 111 instead of He. 111)

2) Write "Messerschmitt" using a "c" (instead of "Messershmitt", we Germans need it to speak and write what the Anglo-Saxons use only two letters for).

Regards, RT

...By the way, what is the correct variant:

- "There appeared 20 He 111" or "There appeared 20 He 111s"?
- "May 1" or "May, 1"?

Hi, i16stealth,

I am not a native english speaker myself. But I appreciate your translations a lot. They are about as good as they can be, and are shurely perfectly upt to the job of informing us non-russian-speakers of your country's aviation history.

I would say, "20 He 111" and May 1" are correct. But these are really VERY, VERY small details.

In all, you've done a great job. Congratulations!

Cheers!
