Announcement: GOT picture supplements

Stalking the net for aircraft pictures often leads to ones I should have had when I produced the corresponding GOT topic, but I didn´t. Also, when I check my older ones again, I sometimes see that I didn´t include pictures at all. This can be made up. I also had to see that included pictures sometimes disappear - when the hotlinked webpage does so. Maybe you also remember contributor BlackWolf3945 who gave a lot of B-19 pictures to the corresponding topic - fine ones, but too black in my eyes. I commented that, but did nothing further - thinking the collectors among you may care themselves for quality. BlackWolf used a photobucket account like I do myself - but his one seems to be off. So you should get pictures of sufficient quality - and one or two more new ones.

This can only be made step by step, takes time and will not be very systematic. So, when you see an old GOT topic being bumped up by my action, you know there are new pictures inserted. Sometimes it may be quite a bunch, sometimes only one picture. Hope you will enjoy.

I wonder if I might ask a question ...

In another forum that shall remain nameless and otherwise unmentioned, we have the option to upload pictures to the forum server itself, so we don't have to use links to anywhere else on the web. That way, if the forum is up, the pics are available. The caveat is to include the source and to state if you have had the pic so long you can't recall the source.

Is there any possibility of including the ability to upload pics to the TGPlanes server? I have a BUNCH. Some are openly pirated from the web, but I have many of my own drawings and can certainly upload them in much better resolution than the sketches I sent a couple of years ago. Also, most are MUCH better now that I have worked on them.

Think about it ... and please let us know one way or the other in a post by you or Taglia titled "Uploading Pics" or something to that effect.

Also, I have been wondering when the new database will get turned on ... but have not bothered Tags with an email asking about it ... any update? :)
