Anybody know anything about the Arsenal-Delanne 10 C2 or the 20 T that would shed some light on them?

I have the pictures and the performance particulars, but the eventual fate of the 10 C2 seems to be shrouded in mystery. All I know is it was taken to Germany for continued tests ... and then it vanishes.

The wing loading was very light at 128 kg / sq m, and the speed, at 550 kph, was pretty good for only 632 kW. So I am wondering why the planform was never pursued any further ... by ANYONE.

I think we shall never find out what happened to this amazing plane. There are three possibilities: 1. Scrapped, 2. Destroyed in allied bombing on Rechlin, 3. Taken to their homeland by Soviet soldiers. Surely it never influenced any German development. There was no good German "backshooter" except the Ju 288 and 388, which were built only in very small numbers. The potential of the captured French planes was known in 1940, but none was brought into German production because of "unsurmountable technical difficulties", what I have read somewhere.
Germany was not even able to get her own drafts into an acceptable production status, so how about foreign designs.
For consolation, I got some fine links:

First, some nice pictures with German markings:

And second, a wonderful page about tandemwing airplanes (also good for Simonīs "weird and wonderful" chapter)

Somebody here says the Arsenal Delanne was destroyed in an Allied bombing raid. Sorrily the most interesting links in this side donīt work.

Thanks for the sites some nice photos and drawings. The DL 150 looks like it might have been a good bet, but all that wing area is just crying out for flak. Would be nice to see info on the intended payload.[B)]
