I have acquired an Antenna that is similar to a std WW2 antenna that may have been on the Spitfire Mustang etc. it is metallic and sticks up about 15" it has a round circular base around 3"dia and 2"thick. It was made by the Doolittle Radio Corp and has a number of 110B/213 on it. It also has a US Navy Anchor printed on it and was packaged for a tropical climate. If anybody can help identify which aircraft it may come from i would appreciate it. You can email at the address above.

I have exactly the same item, bought recently on eBay from a guy claiming it was genuine and original Spitfire. :(
However, it is far shorter than a Spitfire radio mast and the root is totally different. The British Spitfire mounting utilized a piece of timber with transverse bolts, and there was a flat plate at the root. I am currently claiming a refund from the seller.
I can only assume that these things are from some US aeroplane and someone has discovered a warehouse of old spares. If I manage to nID the origin I will post it here.
