Please could you advise me.
I have literally hundreds of photos and drawings on smallish 12 by 9 centimeters card. The reverse side is printed with the name of the plane (hundreds of different planes) plus the date, mostly 1949 to 1954. Some are first edition some second. Most have A.P. and then a number on the top right hand corner and some have "this card issued with A.L. plus a date on bottom left.
Do you know what these are and do they have any value.
WHAT ARE THEY

Some questions I need answering before I even try to find out for you:

1) Is there any advertising or manufacturer's mark? Are they some sort of collectable postcard? (they seem to be around the right size)

2) Where did they come from? Where did you find them? Were you given them? Picked them up at a market?

3) By 'AP' and 'this card issued with A.L.' then a number, are you contracting, or is this all that is written? It seems odd there is a date but no other details, such as an advertiser for example. If they were 'collectable' cards from this era, they likely may have come from chewing gum or some such (which was my first suspicion) but they seem too large.

Further info, or maybe even if you can scan something in (a big ask, I know, but it could help!) so we can check it out. With the right information, we (well, mostly Simon and Greg) have helped others, so give us what we want, and we will see if we can help YOU!

Anyone else got other questions to add to Miss Jane?

Is the date on the card the date of the plane or the date that the card was printed?

If the cards, are relatively new, they're probably not worth much. The only aviation 'cards' I've ever heard of or seen were handouts from military things. At tradeshows, where companies strut their new products, they often hand out things like that. I have a bunch myself, with the picture on one side, and the airplane information on the other.

But if they're old....
