It's been about 20 years since I read it, but I remember that The Wizard War: British Scientific Intelligence, 1939-1945, by R.V. Jones, had some fascinating information on the methods used to defeat the German radar and guidance systems. It's a very good book, well worth reading, that presents the memoirs of one of the leading scientists of the time.
