In “The Warplanes of the Third Reich” by William Green it is mentioned that the Fieseler 167 was used in an experimental program to determine the most effective camouflage pattern for aircraft operating over the sea. Has anyone ever come across any information on the different experimental paint jobs ? This information would make an interesting article in a book or magazine. Especially if it is accompanied with color drawings. It would also serve as an inspiration to many aviation scale modelers.

Never heard about the topic, but there are several camouflage schemes to be found on on the net:

With civil markings. The colour of the fuselage should be light grey, ribbons in white and blue, I guess.

In colours of the Croatian airforce. Croatia obtained about 25 samples.
