Hi! I'm making a webgame which will contain famous airplanes from the countries United Kingdom, USSR, USA, Germany, Japan.

It would be nice to have atleast 1 bomber, 1 seaattack, 1 dogfighter from each country. If there excist several famous, then they could be in the list also, just not to many.

I know that it will be a big list and a lot of work, but it's very important to make the game realistic.

I've been searching on my own, but there is so many airplanes to choose from, and I have no idea whichones that is famous.

Thanks in advance!

Going by 'most famous'...

UK

fighter - Supermarine Spitfire
bomber - Avro Lancaster
'sea attack' - Fairey Swordfish (torpedo bomber)

USA

fighter - North American Mustang
bomber - B-17
'sea attack' - Grumman Avenger (torpedo bomber)

Germany

fighter - Messerschmit Bf 109
bomber - Heinkel He 111
'sea attack' - tricky one - probably the Junkers Ju 288 (torpedo bomber)

Italy

fighter - Macchi M.202
bomber - SM79
'sea attack' - SM79

Japan

fighter - Mitsubishi 'Zero'
bomber - 'Betty' (I forget the designation)
sea attack - (forgot even the code name!)

USSR

fighter - Yak 3 or Yak 9?
bomber - Il-2
sea attack - ???

I'm sure others will think of some more suitable choices...!

Ok the "Betty" is the G4M It was a twin engine radial that had great range but crews called it the "one shot lighter". AS for the SeaAttack the Aichi D3A1 allied name "Val" is one to use.

Question what do you want to do with you game? Also in regards to the US aircraft you might also want to think about the USN F6F as a fighter. I am not sure what you want with SeaAttack.

A Russian bomber can be the Pe.2 A Russian Torpeado bomber would be the II-4.

Happy reading You do have a lot of options.
